When we talk about the painting of Pepe Cerdá, we have to do it from his landscapes too. Once again, the Aragonese painter brings us closer to his most inspiring environment. On this occasion the lands of Villamayor, place of one of their houses of residence.
If on previous occasions Cerdá had taken us to the Aspe Valley, now his canvas transports us much closer: to Villamayor de Gállego (Zaragoza). In fact, the landscape of its mountain is a recurring protagonist in his work. Villamayor is a place of contrasts, on the one hand the dryness and aridity of the Monegros and on the other the leafy garden in the fertile plain of the the Gállego river that baptizes to this municipality that borders with Zaragoza, La Puebla de Alfindén and Perdiguera.
With this pictorial “road” of the illustrious Pepe Cerdá we face the summer in Joarjo and we share it with all of you.
