Nadia Calviño visits the IES La Puebla de Alfindén with the presence of JOARJO

This Wednesday, the IES of Puebla de Alfindén received the visit of the First Vice President of the Government and Minister of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, Nadia Calviño . An event attended by JOARJO as a guest company , given its involvement and adherence to Dual Vocational Training , and represented by Isabel Mozota , Managing Director of Joarjo, the only businesswoman among those present.

The presence of Nadia Calviño has been accompanied by that of other important authorities, highlighting the President of the Government of Aragon, Javier Lambán , the General Director of Innovation and Vocational Training, Toni Martínez, the Mayor of La Puebla de Alfindén, Ana Isabel Ceamanos, the Councilor for Education, Sole Jiménez, and the Government Delegate in Aragón, Rosa María Serrano.

The Director of the Institute, Esther Herguedas, was in charge of welcoming and introducing Nadia Calviño to the guests and numerous media present , after emphasizing the digitization linked to education of which this educational center wants to be a reference.

Nadia Calviño trusts in a future of opportunities for young people

Nadia Calviño , from the lectern, has recognized that she likes to know first-hand the opinions of students and teachers, to listen to their concerns. She has underlined the importance of the moment in which we find ourselves , two very hard years for young people, and the perspective of uncertainty that exists, where structural and future challenges will have to be faced, such as climate change or digitization.

“The priority is to try to protect the productive fabric, family income and employment.” One way to achieve this is by “promoting education” . Calviño has wanted to convey to young people a message of confidence and opportunities for the future… with “jobs for the future” .

In this sense, the Economic Vice President has cited as examples Mechatronics , the star branch of the training center, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analysis, Robotics… Professions of the future that have the support and funds of the European Union.

Calviño has also used his speech to confirm the idea of ​​investing in the green economy , in addition to digitization, as well as the creation of more than 5,000 school places and new opportunities for young people to continue studying. “It’s time to make good decisions to access better job options” .
