With an essentially educational objective, the Spanish Association of Automotive Suppliers (SERNAUTO), to which JOARJO belongs , has created an interactive two-dimensional infographic showing the main components of a vehicle.
In this interactive map we can go through the different parts of any vehicle: chassis or platform, bodywork, passenger compartment or security and ADAS systems . Related Spanish automotive suppliers appear in each activated zone , such as this company , which is very present throughout the chain.
Spain has a solid, competitive and innovative automotive supplier industry that designs, develops and supplies equipment and components both for the manufacture of vehicles throughout the world and for the aftermarket .
Automotive suppliers contribute 75% of the value of the vehicle . Through this virtual and interactive “ map of components ” , the contribution of this industry and the technological capacities available in Spain to develop these components and systems are shown in a very visual way.
The aim is to bring society closer to the wide variety of systems and components manufactured and/or supplied from our country and to show the broad ecosystem of entities that are behind the development of a vehicle.
In a first phase, we wanted to capture the map of the large families of components that are part of the vehicle in its 4 propulsion versions: internal combustion, hybrid, electric and hydrogen.
Through infographics , you can go through the different parts of any vehicle and learn about the components that make it up, grouped into four large categories: chassis or platform; bodywork; cabin; and security systems and ADAS. The automotive suppliers that carry out these parts and that have collaborated in this initiativewill appear in each area
Thanks to the strong investment in Research, Development and Innovation (R+D+i) carried out by suppliers (three times the industrial average), the components that equip vehicles are increasingly technologically sophisticated, which allows them to be increasingly safe, efficient, connected and automated. To this end, in Spain we also have reference technology centers specialized in the automotive sector, which collaborate with vehicle and component manufacturers from all over the world.
This infographic is available in both Spanish and English, so it will also serve as another tool for the international promotion of the “ Components made in Spain ” brand.
It has been carried out with the support of ICEX Spain Export and Investment and the collaboration of major suppliers and technology centers such as: Alvagar, Alter Technology, Bosch, Benteler, Cidetec, Continental, CTAG, Gestamp, Grupo Antolin, Hella, Joarjo, Knauf Industries, Fagor Ederlan, Mahle, Mann+Hummel, Marelli, Mondragón, Saint Gobain, Schaeffler, Tecco Automotive, Tecnalia, Valeo, Varta, Vicomtech, Zanini and ZF.
