This Sunday, the Parque Grande José Antonio Labordeta once again brought together thousands of people to celebrate the annual Correria Guardia Civil Zaragoza sponsored by JOARJO. A sporting and charitable event for all audiences, which has already become a classic in the city: runners, hikers and walkers of all ages had signed up for the different events that were held: 10K, 5K and school races.

Mrs. Isabel Mozota (JOARJO’s Owner), had the honour of cutting the starting ribbon – as is also tradition – and of subsequently participating in the awards ceremony on the podium to the winners of the different categories, as well as in the presentation of medals to the participating schoolchildren who wore the JOARJO children’s T-shirt commemorating the race.

Our loyal support for this event is understood by seeing the great values that surround it: camaraderie, sport, respect and solidarity:

The charitable purpose of this year was the presentation of a cheque with the profits to the Association ‘Todos somos Iván’, which supports children with cancer and their families, and finances research projects for the early detection of childhood cancer. This cause, close to the heart of the community, recalls the importance of the fight against childhood cancer, which affects around 1,400 children a year in Spain.

The race route allowed participants to enjoy some of the most emblematic spots in Parque Grande.

The event attracted thousands of people and their families because, beyond the always exciting images and songs of the participating groups, around the route you could enjoy a display of Civil Guard equipment with the star participation of the Canine Group with dogs specializing in drug detection, explosives and searching for people.

At JOARJO we would like to thank the organisation, participants and volunteers for their work in making this event possible, which reflects the values of sport, solidarity and respect that we are so proud to support as another action of our Corporate Social Responsibility.
