JOARJO strengthens its machining capabilities with a new lathe equipped with LFV technology

Torno mecanizado Citizen LFV L20-x

At JOARJO, innovation doesn’t stop on its 68th anniversary. The company continues to invest in advanced machining solutions with the addition of a new sliding head lathe, the CITIZEN L20 X with LFV technology, supplied by EGASCA, a trusted partner and a leading distributor of high-precision machine tools.

LFV Technology: A Noticeable Difference

The new machine joins JOARJO’s fleet, bringing a key advantage: the integration of LFV (Low Frequency Vibration) technology, developed by CITIZEN. Unlike standard lathes, this system introduces a controlled low-frequency vibration into the cutting tool, creating micro-interruptions between the tool and the workpiece.

This programmed vibration breaks chips into smaller segments, preventing entanglement or accumulation, resulting in a substantial improvement in quality, stability, and process maintenance. Although discreet in appearance, this innovation brings a remarkable difference in continuous machining, especially for long parts, complex materials, or large production runs.

High Productivity in Difficult Materials

Thanks to these capabilities, LFV technology drastically increases productivity even with difficult-to-machine materials. It enables cleaner cuts, greater process control, and a significant reduction in downtime for chip evacuation or tool replacement.

In addition to improving surface quality, this technology extends tool life, enhances heat dissipation, and ensures tighter tolerances. All of this results in safer, more efficient, and more predictable processes.

Strategic Commitment to Continuous Improvement and New Challenges

The addition of the new lathe not only expands JOARJO’s technical capabilities but also strengthens its commitment to sustainable growth and continuous improvement. The company continues to move forward in its goal of meeting increasingly demanding requirements, broadening its expertise in the machining of high-precision and complex parts.

During the installation of the new machine at the plant, Laura Arnal, JOARJO’s Quality Manager (CQO), stated that “this new addition allows us to anticipate market needs, expand our technical capabilities, and confidently tackle new, more demanding, and precise projects.”

Top-Level Technical Versatility

Thanks to its high-performance configuration, the new LFV technology lathe can handle complex machining tasks with exceptional efficiency and precision. This new addition combines speed, versatility, and automation, significantly enhancing operational capabilities.

Key Specifications

  • Bar capacity: up to 20 mm (25 mm optional): Enables continuous machining of long and thin parts directly from bar stock without interruptions.
  • Maximum turning length: 200 mm (80 mm on sub-spindle): Ideal for medium-sized parts with operations on both sides.
  • Double spindle with C-axis control and 0.001° precision: Ensures exact rotation for complex milling, threading, and high-precision double-sided machining.
  • Tool capacity with up to 23 tools on the main block and 8 for secondary operations: Facilitates complete part production in a single setup, reducing setup times and handling.
  • Driven tools with speeds up to 7,500 rpm: Allow milling and drilling operations without machine changes, increasing lathe versatility.
  • Rapid feed rates up to 32 m/min on X, Y, and Z axes: Significantly reduce cycle times and improve per-part productivity.

Cutting-Edge Infrastructure at the Customer’s Service

With this investment, JOARJO continues to strengthen its position as a trusted supplier in the field of precision machining in Spain and worldwide, with an infrastructure prepared to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.
