JOARJO supports sport and solidarity at the 6th Guardia Civil Zaragoza Run

Once again, Zaragoza is getting ready to host one of the most special events of the year — one that brings together sport, solidarity, and civic engagement: the 6th edition of the Guardia Civil Zaragoza Run, which will take place on September 14 in the iconic José Antonio Labordeta Park. At JOARJO, as a company deeply committed to these values, we are proud to be a sponsor of this event for the sixth consecutive year (since its very first edition), supporting both popular sport and the charitable causes that accompany it.

The official presentation to the media was held at the Government Delegation of Spain in Aragon, and among the attendees was Ms. Isabel Mozota (JOARJO Ownership).

A race for everyone

Organized by the Aragon Region of the Guardia Civil and Fartleck Sport, the event will start at 9:00 a.m. and is part of the regional calendar of the Aragonese Athletics Federation, with technical supervision by the Territorial Committee of Judges.

The race offers two main routes:

  • 10 kilometers (race mode only)
  • 5 kilometers, which can be completed running or walking

In addition, starting at 11:00 a.m., several non-competitive children’s races will be held, grouped by age categories. This way, both seasoned athletes and entire families have their space to participate and enjoy the day together.

Solidarity with a purpose: Pequeños Corazones Aragón

This year, the run goes beyond sport: it also embraces a very special charitable cause. All proceeds will go to Pequeños Corazones Aragón, an association of parents of children with congenital and acquired heart diseases. Their mission is to improve the quality of life and overall well-being of these children and their families. Participants will also be able to support the Zaragoza Food Bank by donating non-perishable food when collecting their race bib.

At JOARJO, we believe that social commitment must be an active part of our business activity. That’s why we enthusiastically support initiatives that bring visibility to causes that affect us all as a society.

A route filled with history and nature

The race starts at 9:00 a.m. from Avenida de los Bearneses, inside the Parque Grande, and passes through some of the most iconic natural and historical landmarks of Zaragoza. It’s a unique opportunity to enjoy a privileged environment while exercising and contributing to a good cause.

Guardia Civil equipment exhibition

One of the most anticipated moments will be the Guardia Civil equipment exhibition held in the same park, open to the general public. Especially designed for children to enjoy, it will feature demonstrations by the canine units, vehicles, and operational equipment, all available for visitors to see up close at the start/finish area.

Registrations open from May 19

Online registration is now open at the official website www.correriaguardiacivilzaragoza.com. The entry fee will vary as the event date approaches, so we encourage participants to register as soon as possible. Children’s races, as always, are free of charge.

All participants in the 5K and 10K races will receive a technical commemorative T-shirt for this edition, while supplies (2,000 units) last.

At JOARJO, we run with you

Supporting this race means more than just being present at a sporting event. It means standing behind the values of solidarity, effort, inclusion, and commitment. At JOARJO, we work every day with that same spirit — both in our industrial activity and in our engagement with the community around us.

On September 14, we’ll be waiting for you at Parque Grande! Run, walk, cheer — or simply come and enjoy a day full of positive energy.
