On November 27, 2025, JOARJO, S.L. actively participated in the 138th Plenary Meeting of the Defense Industries and Services Committee, organized by the Spanish Association for Quality (AEC). This prominent sectoral gathering was held in person at the facilities of the research and development center AITEX, in Alcoy (Alicante).
Demonstrating the management’s constant commitment to the highest standards demanded by this strategic sector, JOARJO was represented by Ms. Isabel Mozota (Ownership), and Laura Arnal, Quality and Environment Manager.
The event in Alcoy stood out for its strong focus on cutting-edge technological innovation. The day began with the intervention of Vicente Blanes, General Director of AITEX, who highlighted the center’s role as a benchmark in innovation, research, and technological development.
Next, José Gisbert Gomis, Project Director of the R&D Subdirectorate, shared valuable success stories and lines of research applicable to the Defense sector. The presentations placed special emphasis on sustainability and the development of advanced solutions with next-generation materials, such as composites, smart textiles, and new ballistic protection systems. Knowing first-hand the advances in these new materials and systems is essential for JOARJO to anticipate the precision machining and manufacturing challenges that future military equipment will demand.
To complement this technical vision, the attendees, including JOARJO’s representation, took a comprehensive tour of the AITEX facilities to learn first-hand about the solutions and opportunities they offer for current and future productive development.

This AEC committee is consolidated as the benchmark meeting point between the Ministry of Defense (through the Directorate General of Armament and Material), the Armament and Defense Material Industries (IAMDs), and other stakeholders of the PECAL/AQAP Scheme.
The agenda of the plenary meeting, led by the president of this forum, Félix Pablo Torres Garrido, addressed fundamental issues for the sector’s operability and planning. Among the topics discussed, the following stood out:
The update of information by the Ministry of Defense.
The detailed monitoring of the active Working Groups.
The strategic planning and definition of the Annual Operational Plan of the Committee’s activities for 2026 (POA 2026).
